The girls and I had a great time, but I slipped on the way down. The next morning I woke up with the most amazing pain in my calf. I went to the gym in the morning and could only warm-up on the elliptical. At work, squatting down to work with the kids made me wince.
The good news is that Phoenix is now inspired to train for soccer and wants to go run with me at the gym. I'm so excited to have a running partner. I wish that she wanted to go in the morning before school with me, but I'll take what I can get. We went last night and I was able to run for about 5 minutes before my calf started burning again. I switched to the elliptical. I have yoga tonight and tomorrow I'll jump back on the treadmill and see how I feel. Hopefully, we'll have some more beautiful days soon. There are so many mountains and buttes to tackle here!

what a gorgeous picture! i hope your calf feels better soon. being injured is the pits.
that is a beautiful photo of the scenery and also of the girls. :)
i hope you recover from your injury quickly! have you tried ice on your calf or even heat therapy?
Wow, I'm moving to Oregon!
Thanks for the compliments on the photo. Believe it or not, there are more beautiful things than that here! You can come and visit anytime. I have an old mining cabin up in the mountains surrounded by old logging trails (perfect for running!).
