I was taking a shower when Norma started talking to me about running. There is something very strange about trying to have a normal conversation while scrubbing your private parts, but if it didn't bother her why should it bother me? Anywho ... Norma is the 70 year-old runner who kicks my ass every morning. She only started running 6 months ago!
She told me that she started out by running a few minutes and before she knew it she was running a mile. Now she's up to 6 miles and she ran her first 5K last month. She recommended that I get myself an ipod. When I told her that I do have one, she told me about podrunner where I can download free music from a DJ! I checked it out. I don't like it, but I'm going to try it anyway. Who knows? Maybe a little techno and competition from a 70 year old is just what I need to be able to run more than 2 miles without stopping. Or maybe I need more smack talk from Jeff ... we'll see.

Norma has only been doing this for 6 months? Wow! That gives me hope.
