Since I've replied ... I guess I'm committed. There. Ah! My lazy, don't-want-to-walk-faster-than-a-two-year-old side is fighting to keep my fingers off the keyboard, but I would LOVE to get in better shape!! Thanks, Mary, for being our inspirational motivational guide to self-improvement. My husband is all for it. For good reasons. :)
I've been an amateur, non-competitive runner off and on. The last really good time was in high school. I biked a lot in college. I started to go running two months after my last baby was born but then we moved two weeks later and I was so unfamiliar with this new area and busy with settling in I never got back into it. I have a history now of back problems, so I need to get my back stronger! I did yoga all through my last pregnancy and that was fabulous. I miss that physical/mental rejuvenation.
Back in September I heard about the 5k here for the 9 Flags Festival and thought, "That sounds fun!" but never even got my running shoes on.
So, here we go! Time to get my back strong!

how exciting! glad to have you on board!
you might already know about this, but if not - there's a great yoga studio downtown which is owned by our friend amy. they have a pretty good variety of classes and the instructors are great. plus the space is gorgeous! i could bring you a schedule if you're interested.
That would be cool! I miss yoga. I felt so much better because of it. I'd have to see if it can fit in the budget next year.
