jog a thon

Today was the jog-a-thon at school. Working in kindergarten, I get to do everything twice ... one for a.m., and once again for p.m.

We were late for our morning jog by about 10 minutes. The kids kept stopping in the middle of the track, or someone would fall down and cry. I managed to do about 21 laps in 20 minutes. Before you think I'm a rock star, let me explain. The track is small. I actually have no idea how far I ran, but I did it again in the afternoon and managed 29 laps (whatever that means) in 30 minutes. None of the kids in the afternoon kindergarten ran as many laps as me. I did have a first grader beat me by 1 lap.

That was the first time that I have ran in over a week and I did fine (I think anyways, depending on the track size).

That's my update. I'm biking to school again if it is not raining out.

fatzillas/fitzillas

So it happened... I reached critical mass and developed a gravitational pull. I avoided all things physical and ate the caloric intake of a small eastern german village. The real kicker is I saw myself on video and was like "who is that fat guy" and thanks to those of you that saw me out and about and didn't say "hey jeff, you're fat"!

So to my point, Jeromy Barber and I will be starting a health regiment and will be blogging and posting video of our adventure. Not to spoil it but we have been to the Dr. and to a nutritionist and soon we will have a personal trainer... this is a full on lifestyle change and we would enjoy any input. I will keep you informed of the progress and where to find more info as we get it going. There will be a website, crazy goodies and the entertainment alone!!!

I hope you all are well.

btw I ran this morning 2 miles. painful.

In motion...

Herro!

Yes, I am still alive and keeping the body in motion.

Monday, I had gone home and walked the dogs for about 40 minutes. It was a good hard walk under the sun and my bully, Toby, had thrown in the towel at about 39 minutes and something seconds and started to drag me and Josie up the driveway back to the house. Hey, at least he knows where he lives.

Tuesday, I ran into Chrissy at the track where she hoofed it with me until it was time for her to leave. I then met up with Mary and we walked and jogged. Together, we did two miles of jogging and probably about two miles of walking.

In total I had walked and jogged for 1 hour 30 minutes15 minutes.

run run run

Hello friends! I've been quiet the last few weeks, but I have been running. In fact, I'm up to running 3 miles on the regular. On Sunday, I ran 3.14 miles (pi!) in 31 minutes and 45 seconds, which is my record so far. Of course, I was sore all day yesterday, but it was worth it. I've also been doing little 25 minute long weight routines three mornings a week, and I think I'm starting to have a two-pack. (As opposed to a six-pack.) I'm feeling pretty healthy and fit these days, and that makes me happy.

Also, I'm getting a new bike in the next few weeks and I can't wait to start going on longer bike rides. I just read about Kealy's seven mile adventure and oh, how it made me long! Hope everyone else is feeling just as good.

...

On Friday I stayed on the elliptical for an hour. It looked like I had gotten caught in a rain storm after all was said and done. Ew.

Saturday, I hit the Rec Center and ran 3 miles. Knees were so mad.

Sunday, I played racquetball for an hour with a friend.

It is Sunday evening and I just devoured two pieces of "No Pudge" brownies. I think it was fully deserved.

overandoverandover

Yesterday's workout was on the elliptical trainer. I did it for 50 minutes.

The end.

3 miles

Yesterday, Nathan and I went running at the gym. Well, we warmed up together and then we put on our iPod shuffles (or MyPod, as I like to call it) and ran our separate ways. He is a bit too fast for me to keep up with, but I'm cool with that. I ended up running just over 3 miles in... 32 minutes! That's two minutes faster than the 5K that Sonnie and I did in March. I was very excited. I had my eye on the clock the whole time and really booked the last three laps. Also, music is really helpful for keeping me motivated. I usually chat with the girls when I run, which is also nice, but it's good to know that I have alternatives for those times when I'm running alone.

As for Nathan, he did five miles in 37.5 minutes. Bastard. :)
